Shiraz 2003 Huon Hooke, renowned wine writer commented on this wine as follows, Mouth filling, fully ripe, generously flavoured wine with lots of tannin, albeit supple, I rated it very well, borderline Silver Medal quality.

Shiraz 2004 - Amazingly elegant wine, exhibiting nuances of chocolate and black cherry, with a lingering finish, subtle changes are taking place with bottle age.

| Final comment on Wine Shows.for the time being we have decided not to undertake this costly exercise. RELEASED IN MAY 2011 WAS OUR FORTIFIED SHIRAZ "THE DOUGLAS" this is a traditional Australian style vintage port made when the weather has been perfect and only the richest fruit is selected. Enjoy after dinner with a cheese platter from now to eternity. Cellar unknown - 19% Alc 500ml bottle $20, & 750ml bottle $25. Also our 2010 Spring Plains Semillon 750ml - $22 per bottle almost sold out now, extremely popular. |
